When people are thinking about dissolving their marriage or ending a relationship that has produced children there are often questions about how to proceed and what are my legal rights and obligations.Leslie Telford can provide you with advice and guide you. The below is not an exhaustive list but are some of the options available to you


TRADITIONAL DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE OR PATERNITY.  


Leslie Telford represents clients in court on all family matters including, dissolution of marriage, prenuptial agreements, paternity, parenting issues, support issues, the division of property and parental relocation. She is available to offer advice, draw up agreements, to negotiate for you and appear in legal proceedings on your behalf. 


COLLABORATIVE DISSOLUTION


This is an ideal program for people who have disagreements but want to try and settle their disputes without litigation. Leslie Telford is trained in collaborative dissolution. Not all dissolution of marriage or other legal proceedings lend themselves to this approach. However,k if you and your partner are reasonable, willing to provide all financial information and willing to negotiate in good faith, this may be the approach for you.


CHILD SUPPORT AND CHILD RELATED ISSUES


Children's issues can be complicated in a dissolution or the break-up of a relationship that produced children.  Leslie Telford has had experience in representing parents in child related issues such as time sharing, parental relocation and has represented parents with special needs children.  


LEGAL ADVICE AND SECOND OPINIONS


Sometimes people do not know what they want to do and want to know what they can expect or want a second opinion about their case. We provide this service.


THE CONSULTATION AND WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING.


Leslie Telford  charges $325.00 per hour for her services and does not give a free consultation.  The consultation is to provide you with legal advice.  In order to get the most out of your consultation, you should bring any agreements that you have entered into, all of your financial documents including a list of your property and debts including balances of accounts, retirements accounts and debts if you have them.  Tax returns are helpful as well as knowing what the gross and net incomes of both parties are.
